i started maths revision on sunday at 11pm -.-
wth.
i feel weird like changed somehow after my fever.

i bought a new Jodi Picoult book on sunday.
House Rules,
read the first 100 pages then din wanna read anymore zz
standard drop alr.
now all her stories are damn typical.
they involve
1) a teen/kid having some kinda medical condition and being super smart/know a lot of random facts to make up for it
2) his/her sibling having lack of attention and so slightly psycho
3) his/her mum/parents struggling through it all, also struggling with their own relationships
4) some cop/attorney who has a kid with a slightly similar situation so he sympathises with this mum/these parents.

for this book,
the guy has Asperger's condition. some type of autism
he can't stand having his schedule interrupted and is freakingly organised. gets frustrated when his stuff is messed up (sounds abit like me somehow)
just that,
this guy doesnt make me sympathise with him at all
but rather i find this fictional character damn irritating, zzzz

went back to sch after 4 and half days of no-sch!

going home today was a very different experience.

i've gotten more and more absent minded ever since the fever ytd o:

yesterday was a scary day O:
the day started out fine like any other day, i guess.
just that i din sleep that well and woke up for a short while at 5.30am with a horrible sore throat ):
read Flowers For Algernon in 158 until i had motion sickness and felt slightly queasy o:
anyway, basically all was well.
went to class to do CME/a bit of leftover zuowen.
next was ACE when mr zein talked so fast and clicked ppt slides so fast till i couldnt copy much in time.
not that i'll probably use his info in the future anyway LOL.
huiwen best (Y) fell asleep all the time and only woke up to copy the discussion questions lolll
then recess and CME.
for some weird reason i din feel like eating during recess and only drank one cup of ribena o:
sore throat was getting worse ):

CME came and it was quite boring.
as usual.
PCCG (which up till now i still dunno what the letters mean) next, went to comp lab to find out more about the careers offered in singapore...
filled up some worksheet thingo
1st choice: otolaryngological surgeon
2nd choice: dermatologist
3rd choice: doctor
most ppl only knew what the 3rd choice means haha.

it's got something to do with my allergies :)
ive met a real #1 and #2 before lol.

and just as PCCG was abt to end suddenly i got a OWW headache D:
dno why but the more i thought about otolaryngologists and said it in my mind the more my head hurt o.O
at first i thought it was just some passing headache but it became worst and worst and lasted all the while through math o.o
math was horrible.
tried to concentrate on what the teacher was saying about set theory but my mind was fuzzy and couldnt focus at all.
teacher called my name to answer a question and my voice was wobbly ):
i was practically counting down the seconds to lunch to whip out my thermometer and find out if i was having a feverrrr
almost wanted to cry (lol idk why) when the bell rung and the teacher still din end the lesson lol.

and FINALLY when it ended i was near desperation and took out my thermometer.
felt extremely feverish and got super scared when i switched on my thermometer
knew something was extremely wrong when the thing started with 36.something
cos normally im like some cold-blooded person and the thing starts at 34.something o.O
anw thank God the thermometer din die on me when i needed it most :)
36.4°C jumped to 37.2°C and jumped to 37.5°C ...
the moment it did i jumped out of my seat and went over to huiwen sitting beside my table partner
got there and looked at it by the time it was 38.34°C O_O
i was like omgomgomgomgfreakfreakfreakfreakimhavingafeverrrr
then in my desponess i just tapped her shoulder non-stop (lol reminds me of weixin)
and pointed at the therm ):
sookwei came over and i showed her too ahh

by the time i went back to my seat i was practically... shivering?
too scared or smth i guess.
couldnt pack my bag properly and so they helped me yay.
then went to the front where ms lim was talking to eric and qg
showed her the thermometer and then she was like "aiyo! fever so high temperature" or smth
and for some weird reason i began to cry o.o''
gahh.
and then she said "dont cry dont cry" and i cried even more cos she was so nice. lol.
ran to toilet to pee/calm myself down/wash face
toilet seat was icy cold argh

went down to G.O. with sookwei and huiwen to register for leave.
lol kinda dumb. had to wait almost 20min before could leave.
told the person i had a 38.3°C fever and she was like "then you better go home quickly and rest! and go see doctor"
and i was thinking yes i know that zzz. then why dont you quickly approve of my leave and let me go home -.-
but of cos i din tell her that straight in the face lol.

cabbed home and by the time i reached home i was feeling like crapppp ):
took temperature again...
38.8°C
was so confused all i could think was "oh sheeet it's higher than just now"
din realise how high it was and that it was nearing 39°C o.o
headache disappeared at least. thank God :)

ate lunch & medicine and went up to sleep.
luckily my dad came home and help me put icy-cold towel on my forehead :)
so shiok lol.
was practically burning alr
somemore never sweat to lose latent heat of vaporisation haha.

fever subsided to 37.4°C after 1h
slept and slept like nobody's business :D
woke up at 6.30pm and continued reading Flowers For Algernon haha.
later fever came back and we went to see a doc o:

dunno how many times have i seen this #3 o.O
im sickly.
but it's my first time leaving sch halfway cos of fever o:
anw. told the doc about my throbbing headache that lasted 2h (longest time ever)
and he was like oh no, when ppl tell me that it's very very bad o.o
luckily he checked my BP/eye response to light and nothing wrong :D
surprisingly went back home with the normal kind of medicine for flu.

read finish FFA while waiting for the medicine to be prepared :)

anyway, had church service on saturday.
it was a very inspiring service at the end :)
the pastor shared a story in the bible with us, where Jesus shared a parable with i-forgot-who.
apparently, there were 3 characters.
this dad, his son, and his younger son who returned home suddenly one day.
the dad threw a celebration for his younger son when he returned, and the older son got really angry.
he referred to his brother as "this son of yours" and tried to make his bro sound more worse off than him, and was really pissed.
cos he claimed he had been slaving for his dad all along, never disobeying him, and he never even got a young goat to celebrate with as compared to his bro who got a fattened calf (gosh, all the weird terms the ppl last time used to associate with... what fattened calf sounds a lil' barbaric o.o)

the ironic thing about it was, by refusing to celebrate his bro's return, he was disobeying his dad. and by refusing to associate himself with his sinner brother, he became a worse sinner.

moral of story: sometimes when you point fingers at others, you don't consider yourself and the things you did too.
everyone's no different from the rest, im no different from jack neo/osama/criminals/ if not for the grace of God.
Grace means undeserving favour.
i like this Grace of God. :)

but even though im beginning to like the service more and more,

then this little boy and his mother sat at the opposite 2-seater.
and then the boy's brother and his dad came along and looked at me o.O
so w/o knowing what i was doing i just suddenly moved to the empty seat on the right :)
the guy was like 'no lah its okay' but still smiled and took my seat, haha.
the boy's mother gestured towards me at her son and smiled at me :DDD

it's like sitting on air just that it's actually not on air cos your harness is pulling you up o.o
but it's still freaking scary!

i was like giving small yelps/screams at the start cos i rly din dare to get off the ledge ):
panicking and wondering what would i do if i got stuck midway in the air

then she gave this look that i cant describe properly cos it's too epic

followed my parents to their (new creation) church o.O
cos i din feel like staying at home doing nothing and i wanted to shop after that heh.
lol going to church two days in a row felt weird somehow.
but the sermon was cool :)
sort of like mathematical o.O
turns out that there's some kinda codeword in the names mentioned in Genesis!
like Adam means Man in Hebrew. and the long stream of names mentioned in Genesis come up with a code phrase that refers to Jesus!
so cool it's like cryptology.
reading between the lines :)

i forgot how the pastor suddenly switched topic and jumped to another phrase, but Yud-Hei-Vav-Hei means Open Hand-Grace-Nail-Grace in Hebrew. which is an allusion for Jesus. also shows He has lots of grace in Him. yay :) and it was uber cool when they showed a satellite map of Bethel in Israel (which means House of God)! the hebrew characters yud-hei-vav-hei were were on it o.o like really the mountains and hills and whatnot contours.

my dad just told me his very interesting story o.O
during lunch he was having laksa and coffee,
then suddenly his glass of coffee EXPLODED into bits and spilt coffee all over his work suit shirtpantsshoes o.o
and so he shifted table to eat his laksa in peace and then he felt something sharp in his mouth.
turned out that one glass shard went into his laksa and he was eating it -.-
and then he pui out and then realise that his tongue was cut by the glass shard and was bleeding non-stop O_O

i was like O.O the whole time he was recounting his story lol.
then i told him the scientific reason behind it o.O
aka, glass has two layers.
and the hot coffee made the inner layer expand faster than the outer layer therefore the outer layer exploded.

in english, this means the glass was of crappy quality.

assembly in hall, "2428" ppl squeezed in a hall meant for 1800. not including teachers.
gathered for an impt celemony ;)
i wanted to count how many grammar errors there were in his entire speech but decided it was really mean.
after all, if i delivered a speech in chinese to 2000+ teenagers i wouldnt want them to outright laugh at my horrible grammar and sentence structure and count my mistakes too.

then also got more artistic stuff like t shirt making, voodoo doll-making, pen weaving (super cool) etc. yay.
these are the rare, fun, non-chor activities that describe another side of guides. the more girly side i guess. oh and identity/banner making.
i like both sides anyway.
though ball games this morning made me itch like crazy and now i have rashes on my neck ):

netball (L), captain's ball, soccer, floorball
i conclude guides are better in the former two and not-so-good in the latter two.
i totally CANNOT sweep balls ._. (floorball)
but i love netball! :D
it reminds me of sec1 times when we had interclass (and 1L won 3rd or 4th cant rmb :D).

somehow after seeing my last year eoy notes for physics i feel so proud of myself wahaha.
6 pages of typed out, red-fonted/highlighted key words and for all the tested topics!
that's how i mug. by typing, cos im lazy to write.
and i know if i write, i would want to write nicely and that would waste damn a lot of time.
so why not just type it and get perfect handwriting ;)
then i just keep reciting.

and remembering many points by the first letter also helps a lot :D

came to sch early but din go for the morning meeting again ):
sookwei din come to sch ytd so i spent abt half an hour tuitioning/telling her abt ytd :)
poor sookwei, double the workload.
not that there was much workload ytd but i kinda feel like copying her corrections for her and yadda yadda.
cos it really sucks with double the pressure when returning back to school;
you just feel so demoralised and feel like running away from the huge pile D:

there were super a lot of sub-tests and chem tr din go through with us the day before, merely dropping hints D:

maybe only just keep hoping that she'd come back to our class after this term?

i tried to do nitrate test on the wrong filtrate,
added conc HCl to the wrong reagent,
din fill in one whole entire observation for that nitrate test cos i totally gave up and skipped,

merely crapped some answers. like srsly crap out of luck.

just as i was leaving the chem lab, I DROPPED MY TEST TUBES!!!!!
there was this resounding clink sound and then -silence-
and gasps.
haha okay lah not so drama.
but a lot of ppl turned behind to look.
and my O.O face. i din want to get blacklisted as a test-tube breaker o.o
with a "oh crap" i picked it up carefully. expected bits and pieces of broken glass.
and then... i grabbed hold of long test tubes instead of glass shards!
i was super shocked.
then, "i think will have cracks you better check".
was quite scared of handling it in case it suddenly broke in my hands or smth.

and then, after PE (I RAN 6 ROUNDS IN 15:50!! SUPER SHOCKED cos i havent ran ever since ATC ._.)
i sat back down in class and checked my test tubes~
checked it up and down in and out (not meaning to sound wrong).
NO CRACKS!
NO CRACKS NO CRACKS NO CRACKS!
i was like yay-ing and thanking God. heh.
the glass test tubes actually dropped from chest level all the way down to the floor, with only the measly thin plastic bag and rubber band protecting it o.o

this, can only mean 3 things.
a), that i am super vertically challenged and from my chest to the floor is so short that it's not a glass-crackable distance
OR
b), that God blessed me (and my test tubes) that the test tubes landed at the perfect angle, so the rubber band hit the floor first then the clink heard was the small clink after the rubber band made contact with the floor and the test tubes balanced like a see-saw.
OR
c), that the impact spread through the 6 test tubes and were somehow absorbed without cracking the glass. 团结是力量! :D
or maybe there are just plain thin hairline cracks but i din spot it.

and of course, i would rather believe choice b. choice a is just dumb ._.

sookwei shocked all of us by drinking 2 cups of watermelon juice and half a cup of oreo milkshake O_O
therefore resulted in a high water potential in her blood, hypothalamus released less ADH so more urine produced.
lol so scientific.
still slightly 'traumatised' by bio results.

stayed back in school with sook and cherisse after school (:
planned to mug physics and do maths assg, but in the end only completed maths assg in 2 half hours O_O
underestimated the maths assg i guess.

normally i would be super annoyed by music when working.

srsly it's like the kind in front, but it's like 1 and half seats not 1 o.o
i went in and sat.
then halfway through the journey this indian guy sat beside me and cos the seat was so small his arm was practically overlapping my arm and ugh i dont even wanna mention the lack of butt space ._.
was super happy to get off the bus.
