OMG HI AGAIN.
been totally inactive on blogging nowadays so shall post a suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper long post now :D

shall post about jie4 study date and AYG cos those two are probably the only two worth posting about hahahahaha :D
jie4 study date was on tuesday!
-tuesday-
went to school at around 10 then was the earliest so went library first. then found out the rest were going to mug at canteen so un-booked the discussion room (sadly no air-con in canteen) and went to canteen D:
xintian michelle yiting me cherisse nicholette eileen came for jie4 study date. that means slightly more than 25% of our jie4 o:
got some imba people didn't come cos they alr done all their homework >:(

anyway in the end half the time was spent talking about random stuff and complaining about
that issue again. also about the something big happening soon D:
that issue seems to have become a common topic ever since this year ._.
but at least got some productive work done!!

went to kfc for lunch with xintian and yiting (:

fufilling day (:
-today-
had AYG duty today! woke up at freaking 5.30am in the morning the earliest I've woken up properly in 3 years (okay not really, that's excluding certain camps)
D:
reached swissotel at about 6.21am ._.
then waited for this guy with a really funny name (shan't post here LOL) who was supposed to be our in-charge for Special people (yay we're special).
just that he never appeared so another guy took us under his wing so the OPS became 10 instead of 5 people o.o
too many cooks spoil the broth.
so ended up zuobo-ing mostly, sticking with yiting chatting/reading macbeth/discussing patrol stuff until 12+.
got so bored I began to notice the surroundings.
like how they had weird wood panellings which were quite extra,
and 6 weirdly designed wooden chairs which were creaky and looked really unstable somehow o.o
yes.
IT IS AN HONOUR TO SERVE OUR
COUNTRY!!!!!just that I didn't see how on Earth did we do that in the morning when we were told to "go do your own stuff" first -.-then after that about 12+ yiting sherlyn kristin and me went to eat lunch looooooooooooooooool. hotel buffet lunch o.o free of charge haha.
got pasta potato salad this weird curry thing and smth else. also lots of fruits and got cake too o.o
but in the end couldn't eat a lot of stuff (allergies) so stuck to potato salad and pasta!

went back to fourth floor where a bored-looking charmaine was sitting at the front entrance of our "tower", yiting and I took over charmaine's job as the unofficial receptionist o.o
omg I tell you damn fun sia,
people come in then we take their temperature for them, ask them to record name time signature temp. reading and give them a nice bright yellow sticker to paste on their shirt.
actually that really applied for the first half hour.
like it was actually quite fun.
THEN.
boredboredboredboredboredboredbored-er D:
became damn sian and wanted to snooze/do math homework
yet cannot cause we represent our school D:
somemore at the front entrance.
also cos the table too small then no space for math homework LOL.
once there was this group of hongkongers, probably the only foreign people we saw that entered our tower lol.
the whole group just flooded the entrance to get bright yellow stickers. imagine that o.o
so anyway, yiting and I got reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally bored.
in the 6 half hours that we sat there,
we just took turns saying our perfectly professional (I hope) lines to the people that came in, most people were quite annoyed that they had to take temperature and couldn't just chiong in.
now I understand how other people felt when I got my temp. taken at other places o.o
the agony of having a lousy job that no one really recognises/acknowledges your presence, and you have to waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait for people D:
I don't like waiting.

I peeled out the stickers and gave it to them.
also bao shi-ed,
while yiting held out and shot the people (not literally, duh)
the thermometer is the forehead infrared scanner type where you even have a button to press that looks like a trigger.
looked like a tiny plastic gun to me, teoee said it looked like a hairdryer o.o
then I remember yiting and I got so bored we started shooting each other with it,
even shooting the air to find out the temperature o.o
tried shooting forehead, neck, leg even ._.
once told yiting "I'm gonna shoot your scalp!" (cos you can't shoot the hair, it'll just read Lo)
and then she heard wrongly LOL.
heard the last word wrongly and misinterpreted it until very funny haha.
the word is guessable, happy guessing (:
then later at 5pm the PM stickers came to replace the AM stickers (lol so 12nn-5pm still counted as AM), they were a dark shade of green that reminded us of something ._.
and then we rehearsed our unofficial script which goes like this:
"Hidoyouhaveagreensticker? Ifnotyou'llhavetotakeyourtemperatureagain. Youcanthrowyouryellowstickersawayalready"
have to say very fast if the queue was very long o:
then we went back to our usual "SHOOT ME!!!" game after the queue ended.
and back to waiting.
actually it's not really a game,
just a random act.
teoee came to help us with the sticker thing in the late afternoon :D
talked about tee shirt colours LOL.
actually our job was quite extra,
considering that there was a pro thermal scanner right behind us that looked like a camera.
like those sort where you see yellow people walking around, then people with fever are red in colour o:
so it was just to confirm and tabulate the people who walked in.
anyway the only exciting case was when this usherer got 37.6degrees Celsius and was exempted from duty.
yes I know it sounds evil to describe it as exciting but that's the most suitable word considering the nature of our job.
we wore masks the whole time o:
ended up with wet mask at the end of the day cos kept coughing into it ahhh.
also found some strings in my mouth LOL
also yiting got so bored she wanted to scan the door, lol.
at least we had each other to su ku to o:
there was this other poor usher who had to solo the ushering herself for hours while we watched her o:
ate hotel buffet dinner (yay) which consisted of beef and a very nice banana cake.
saw fireworks on the way back :D
charmaine is very demure.
she didn't eat the beef but took veggies cos she was too demure to eat meat (:
